God will fight for you

“In what place, therefore, ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us.”
Nehemiah 4:20
Nehemiah and co knew that God would fight for them. Do you have such knowledge or assurance that God will fight for you? Of a truth, in life, you will always be confronted with the likes of Tobiah and Sanballat which I describe as enemies of progress. As you live and work for God, the opposition will surely come. There will always be people who will be angry just because you are building projects or making progress in life. The Bible says, “So built we the wall, and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth.”
Nehemiah 4:6-7
The mission of your enemies is to hinder or stop your work. They will conspire together or gang up to fight against you. But you don’t have to be afraid or perturbed if you find yourself under such attacks; as God is by your side to fight for you.
3 things you must do to invoke God’s intervention:

  1. Don’t be afraid of them!
“And I looked, and rose, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”
    Nehemiah 4:14
Don’t be afraid of your enemies! They are like dogs, if you are afraid of them, they will chase and intimidate you. Like David, courageously and boldly confront them in the name of the Lord. Your God will frustrate their evil plans and purpose. You’ll defeat them in Jesus’ mighty name!
  2. Activate your faith!
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”
    Mark 11:22
Your faith in God will procure His help or intervention. Do you believe in the power or capacity of God to fight for you? Do you believe you are a candidate to enjoy His intervention? If you believe, you shall surely see the salvation of God. The Bible says, “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.”
    2 Chronicles 20:17
  3. Let your support base be activated!
“Peter, therefore, was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.”
    Acts 12:5
Your church family is your support base! It is wisdom to alert and activate them to stand in the gap for you whenever you are challenged. In some critical situations, your prayers will not suffice to procure results. Peter was kept in prison awaiting the final instruction from Herod the king to be killed but his church family rose in unity to pray for his release. And he was released! There is power in collective action, especially prayers offered to God from the womb of compassion and unity.
I decree and declare that you will defeat all your enemies in Jesus’ mighty name.
    Yours sincerely,
    Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
