“For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”
Isaiah 50:7
This passage under review is a statement of certainty or assurance that God will not fail to deliver on His promises! But do we know God like the prophet Isaiah? Do we have a resolute assurance that God will help us? Beloved, our walk with God must be premised on the fact or knowledge that God is our TRUE HELPER in times of need. That when we call on Him for help, we will not be disappointed. That when God helps us we will not be confounded or disgraced. His help will prevent any type of shame or reproach. The truth is that there is no regret in trusting God for His help! We sure need God’s help 24/7! Hence, we must always run boldly to Him and ask for His help. The Bible says, “Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”
Heb 4:16
God’s help is superior to man’s help!
Have you relied on men for any type of help before? Have you trusted people to help you achieve or accomplish a project before? No man can help you like God. Wisdom demands that we shift our focus to God, and God alone!
With God’s help, we can surmount every challenge this year! David said, “For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God have I leapt over a wall.”
Psalms 18:29
Our struggles will come to an end if we allow God to intervene in our affairs! It is only when God helps us that we are truly helped. Because the help of man is vain without God! Happiness is our portion when we deliberately and concertedly make God our Helper! The Bible says, “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:” (Psalms 146:5)
Our assurance for divine help is boosted by:
- Becoming a covenant child of God!
Are you a child of God via Jesus Christ? The Bible says, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
If you are a child of God, then you are entitled to divine help! - Becoming a humble person!
It takes humility to get help from God. The proud and arrogant cannot obtain anything worthwhile from God! Are you a humble person? Then look up to God for His help! David said, ” I will lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2) - Coming before God boldly!
God, our heavenly Father wants us to come before Him with resolute confidence and boldness. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Hebrews 13:6
I decree and declare that you will obtain and enjoy the Help of God today and always in Jesus’ mighty name!
Yours sincerely,
